So oddly enough I had recently been thinking of investing in Australia because my understanding was that they were handling the COVID 19 pandemic better than other countries. Then I stumble across this fellow I had never heard of, Avi Yemini, who is a journalist who was randomly arrested while reporting on a protest. The video clearly shows he is minding his own business with other journalists moving around nearby, then a police commander comes along and says he "isn't there purposefully" and orders the surrounding police to arrest him.
I really don't care where you stand politically, there is absolutely no reason in a free society why police should be arresting people without any warning or cause. This goes for anyone of any race or political viewpoint.
We should support and respect police and those in authority, but they must answer to a higher authority even if that is just the rule of law.
Police claim they arrested me for not moving when the Police Commander asked me to.
Problem is, he NEVER asked me anything.
He just ordered the ARREST of a journalist because he doesn't like what I report.
RT the truth. #AviYemini
