Drupal 7.34 - Fixed Imagecache Autorotate Issue with PHP 5.63

  • Published by steve on 4 March 2017.

This is a hack and slash fix for auto rotating images in Drupal 7 with newer php 5.6x. It works for me but it does cause one warning with imagecache autorotate module "Warning: exif_read_data(141426-17-03_1.JPG): IFD data bad offset: 0xFFFFFC7E length 0x1D0C in image_gd_imagecache_autorotate() (line 132 of sites/all/modules/imagecache_actions/autorotate/imagecache_autorotate.module".

Alternative fix Before you hack your drupal core I found that exif_orientation module also worked but the image quality sucked for me (using plupload as well).
